The night mode is not being mentioned in the September's update changelog, but it has been confirmed by the receiving users. Now Galaxy S9 and S9+ can take brighter and more detailed pictures in low-light, their quality similiar to that of Galaxy S10.
The uppgrade comes with updates, respectively, G960USQU6CSI2 and G965USQU6CSI2. Both weight around 800 megabytes, so make sure that your phone is charged before you begin to download them.
