Hurray. Sony's June flagship, Xperia XZ Premium, is getting a new colour variant. It is called Rosso, although I imagine most normal people will be calling it red instead. XZ Premium Rosso should go out for sale sometime in November. What else? As it turns out, Xperia XZ Premium's OS will stay quite up to date for a while, as Sony wants to update ...
Jolla, Finnish tech company, has officially introduced Sailfish X, a Sailfish operating system for Sony Xperia X smartphone. OS will become available for pre-order on September 27th, for a price of €49.90. Now that we have the basic info out of the way, what the heck is this Sailfish, and why does it exist? Well, it is an OS. Duh. As to why would ...
We already know quite a bit about the Sony Xperia XZ1 - I even wrote about that phone yesterday. Today it is time to learn more about the lil' brother of that phone, Xperia XZ1 Compact. The picture above is not an official graphic released by Sony, but a third-party render. It's supposed accuracy comes from the fact that it was supposedly based on technical ...
Sony Xperia XZ1 is supposed to make its first official appearance on August 31st, on Sony's IFA conference in Berlin. As is always the case with popular smartphones, closeness of the official reveal by no means stops anyone from digging for and revealing any bit of information offered about the device. Today's bit is a bunch of pictures, said to be official ...
A bunch of renders and a 3D video on Sony Xperia XZ1 have been put online by an unknown source. While unofficial, these pictures correlate with a live rear image of the device that was uploaded online some time ago. Features that can be found on the pictures include: - Silver colour variant, - SIM card slot on the left side, - USB Type-C port, - ...
New Sony mobile device, listed as Sony G8441 has just been listed on Geekbench. This is not the first time this phone this device was listed on benchmarks, as it was already listed on AnTuTu a couple weeks ago. Geekbench benchmark added more info to the already known specification. As it is now, Sony G8441 (which may or may not turn out to be Xperia ...
Latest Xperia devices have been receiving Android 7.1.1 updates ever since the end of June, and for a while, everything was good. Now, though, it looks like the update is plagued by a number of issues that may destabilize performance of any updated Xperia Z5 smartphone. According to the word online, these issues include drastic drop in apps response ...
Device with a model number G8341, which most believe to be Sony Xperia XZ1, has hit the Internet again, this time via Geekbench. It confirms what we already knew about the phone, namely the 4GB of RAM and Snapdragon 835 CPU. We are still not sure whether the phone's OS will be Android 7.1 or, as was rumoured before, Android O. If other sources of info ...
Firmware updates for both phones are rolling out as we speak, moving the security software number to 45.0.A.7.90. Update does not change the phones' OS, nor does it make any other significant improvements. If you are the owner of XZ Premium or Premium Dual and notice something important changed after downloading it, let us know.
Update number 41.2.A.7.35 updates the phones' security patch from 1st of June to 1st of July. The update is coming out slowly, region by region, but do not worry - wherever you are, you will get it eventually. Other than that... well, that is it, honestly. See you later for more (hopefully bigger, too) Sony news.
And it looks good. These are the specification of this earlier unannounced Xperia smartphone: - 1280 x 720 screen resolution (okay, that isn't all that great), - Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU (neat), - Adreno 540 GPU, - 8mpx front and rear cameras, - 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM, - Android 8.0 (woo!). It seems to be a mixed, if overall cool, bag. Low max screen ...
Originally, Xperia XA1 was to debut in Canada yesterday, June 22. Cause of delay is, at least officially, no biggie - Sony reportedly has some problems with shipping the device abroad. If there is some interesting story behind it, perhaps something about a government corruption and Reptilians infiltrating human society, we know nothing about it. Hopefully ...
